Residents of Chelyabinsk spend the most on coffee in Russian million-plus cities. This was reported by analysts of the fiscal data operator "Platform OFD".
"They spend the most on coffee in the million-plus cities in Russia in Chelyabinsk. In September-October, the average check in coffee shops amounted to 610 rubles, St. Petersburg became the second "coffee city" with expenses of 603 rubles. Novosibirsk closed the top three, where the average check reaches 597 rubles," the report says.
It is noted that a high level of expenses in coffee shops was recorded in Moscow — 564 rubles, Krasnoyarsk — 506 rubles and Krasnodar — 501 rubles. Residents of Rostov-on-Don leave less than 500 rubles for coffee — an average of 494 rubles, Kazan — 477 rubles and Volgograd - 470 rubles. Yekaterinburg closes the top 10, where on average residents spend 467 rubles on coffee.
"The development potential of coffee establishments is now concentrated in the regions. Each territory has its own characteristics of consumer behavior and sales figures. In particular, the high growth potential of such formats is obvious due to the competent choice of locations in sleeping areas of cities where there are still a large number of "white spots" not occupied by coffee shops," said Dmitry Batyushenkov, CEO of Platform OFD.
