Streaming service Netflix has released a four-part documentary mini-series about the controversial American rapper and producer P. Diddy (Sean Combs) Sean Combs: The Reckoning (Sean Combs: Time of Reckoning). The producer of the film was one of the most ardent professional opponents of Diddy, rapper 50 Cent (Curtis James Jackson III), reports The Washington Post.

The film is based on a wide range of interviews — with artists who worked with and for Combs, with police officers, a former sex worker, former members of his inner circle and two representatives of the jury, which this summer acquitted Combs on federal charges of human trafficking and conspiracy, but found him guilty on charges related to prostitution.. The film also uses documentary footage of a video that Combs himself recorded a week before his arrest.

All participants talk about dozens of years of harassment, exploitation, sexual violence and constant pressure. One of the heroines of the series claims that she was fired from the Diddy team after she refused "sexual cooperation." The series features her detailed story and a letter of obscene content from 2008.

Through representatives, Diddy has already sharply criticized the series, calling it a "shameful hit-and-run," claiming that the material used in it is "stolen" and "unauthorized."

Representatives of Netflix said that everything was removed legally with the availability of the relevant rights to the show, and the service calls the series itself an "objective serious analysis" of the life of Coms and the accusations against him.

At the same time, the rapper's legal team has already sent Netflix a request to remove the series from the platform due to rights violations.

The series caused a powerful public outcry, as well as mass discussions on social networks by shocked viewers. Many users pointed out that former friends and colleagues of Diddy, shown in the film, "were silent before," and now "the truth is coming to light."

"This movie is scary to watch, this man is so angry. He needed a lot more than 4 years," "I keep thinking that someone will get to him and shoot him when he gets out of prison," "I wasn't ready for some details. Everything is much darker than I imagined", "No sensationalism, just cruel facts. And that makes it even harder to watch," "Everyone around him knew. Silence was part of the machine," "I do not even know if Diddy will be able to come back at all after that. His career is actually over," users share their impressions.

As EADaily reported, on October 3, the rapper was given a final sentence for transporting women for prostitution — 4.5 years in prison with a fine of $ 500 thousand.

Earlier, a friend of the "hip-hop mogul" Charlucci Finney said that Combs survived a knife attack in prison. One of the prisoners allegedly put a blade to the sleeping rapper's throat.

Combs has already spent more than a year in prison at the Brooklyn Detention Center, which counts towards his sentence.

Earlier, TMZ reported that Combs is preparing to be released from prison as early as 2026. According to the publication, he tells his cellmates that he will be pardoned by US President Donald Trump.
