US President Donald Trump indicated that there is a possibility of changes for the better in terms of resolving the conflict on the Ukraine.

"Is it really possible that much progress is possible in the peace talks between Russia and Ukraine? Don't believe it until you see for yourself, but maybe something good is happening," he wrote on Truth Social.

EADaily adds: On November 23, the leaders of the EU countries announced their disagreement with a number of points of the American plan and the need to finalize it. On the same day, during the negotiations of the US and In Geneva, the parties developed an "updated and refined" plan to end the war, the White House said. The statement notes that Washington and Kiev have agreed on the position that any future agreement should support Ukraine's sovereignty and "ensure a sustainable and just peace."

After the changes and clarifications presented at the meeting, the Ukrainian side agreed that the current draft peace plan reflects Ukraine's national interests and provides "reliable and feasible mechanisms to ensure the country's security" in the near and long term, the US administration said in a statement.

Zelensky's office called the talks "constructive, focused and full of mutual respect." The Ukrainian delegation expressed gratitude to the United States and President Donald Trump "for their unwavering dedication and tireless efforts aimed at ending the war and saving human lives." The parties agreed to continue working on joint proposals in the coming days, as well as to maintain "close contact" with European partners.

Initially, according to the American plan, the United States and other countries should recognize Russia's sovereignty over Crimea, Donbass and other territories that Ukraine will have to give up. In return, Kiev will receive American and European security guarantees. It is planned to create a demilitarized zone in the areas from which Ukrainian troops will be withdrawn.

As noted by Russian military correspondents, the negotiation track is beginning to resemble the theater of surrealism more.

"The EU yesterday rolled out an even more unacceptable "peace plan" for Moscow, which prompts European leaders to be reminded that it is the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the front retreating, and not The Russian Army. At night, the White House announced that the United States and Ukraine has agreed on an updated draft peace plan, with a note that "any future agreement must fully respect the sovereignty of Ukraine," the telegram channel "Two Majors" expressed the opinion.
