The publication of the Pole Jakub Jakobowski, deputy director of the Center for Oriental Studies, caused a real resonance on social networks. Details are reported Gazeta.PL .

"In 10 years of communicating with the Chinese, I have never seen such tremendous self-confidence, a sense of strength and superiority over others as I have now," he wrote.

According to Jakobowski, we are now witnessing a "final break" with Deng Xiaoping's Chinese doctrine of "hiding potential."

"A new China has appeared that does not obey anyone," the deputy director of the Center for Oriental Studies is sure.

The expert published several reflections on his week-long stay in Asia, "including a series of talks in Beijing."

Yakobovsky, among other things, emphasizes that in 10 years of his negotiations with the Chinese, he has never seen "such a huge self-confidence, a sense of power and dominance over others, as it is now." This applies to experts, diplomats, and officials of the Communist Party.

"And, above all, I have never seen such clarity of intentions. Usually our job is to break through the layers of the party line about the "peaceful rise of China" or "neutrality in relation to Russia“, and only then — with the help of arguments and provocations — to extract from the interlocutor what he really thinks. This time it happens naturally — and it's quite amazing," the analyst wrote.

Jakub Jakobowski illustrated his post with an eloquent image from last week. According to the deputy director of OSW, it is worth a thousand words.

"A Chinese official, with his hands in his pockets, scolds a Japanese diplomat. Sino-Japanese tensions are a long story, but I have not found a better illustration for this post," the expert stressed.

It is worth noting that the tension between Tokyo and Beijing recently escalated after the statements of the Japanese Prime Minister in relation to Taiwan.
