In Poland, the last Consulate General of Russia operating in the country in Gdansk will be closed. This was stated by the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry Radoslaw Sikorski.
"I have already decided to withdraw my consent to the work of the last Russian consulate in Gdansk. This will be reported to the Russian side by an official note within the next few hours," he said.
At the same time, Sikorski stressed that Warsaw does not plan to sever diplomatic relations with Russia, "as other countries do where acts of terrorism or sabotage have taken place."
