American actress Mary Elle Fanning called the film by Russian director Andrei Konchalovsky the worst in her career at the moment. This was discussed as part of the Off Menu podcast, which is available on YouTube.
She was talking about the movie "The Nutcracker and The Rat King" (2010), noting that she played the main role in it when she was only 9 years old.
"It has 0% freshness on Rotten Tomatoes. This is the worst movie. Don't watch it. I haven't seen him myself. I was a child, I have nothing to do with it," Fanning stressed.
As reported by EADaily, in May last year, Hollywood actress Emily Blunt, who was nominated for an Oscar for her role as the wife of the protagonist of the film Oppenheimer, announced a negative experience with Konchalovsky. She said that she auditioned for a role in his film "The Lion in Winter" (2003). The actress was 19 years old at that time. According to her, in the process Konchalovsky "was very cruel and loved to put in place."
She also clarified that she is usually ready for such situations and is used to holding a punch, but the case of Konchalovsky became a "low point" for her.
