More than 100 outbreaks of bird flu have been registered on German poultry farms. Lower Saxony suffered the most. Details are given by the publication Profit.Ro .
Due to the spread of bird flu in Germany, about 1.5 million heads have already been slaughtered. The Friedrich Leffler Institute (FLI) reported that more than 100 outbreaks of the disease have been registered on poultry farms, more than half of which are in Lower Saxony.
According to FLI, about ten outbreaks were registered in the states of Brandenburg, North Rhine-Westphalia and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Currently, several farms are affected in Bavaria and one each in Baden-Württemberg, Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt.
