Belarus has warned the United States about the presence of nuclear weapons in the country. Alexander Lukashenko said this today, November 10, at a meeting on finalizing the country's socio-economic Development Program for 2026-2030.
One of the issues was the inclusion in the draft program of the priority to strengthen the defense capability. Lukashenko said that with all the importance of the archive, this topic has its own specifics, refers to military policy, strategy and defense. According to him, this is due, among other things, to the presence of closed issues that should not be advertised, one of which is nuclear weapons, which are deployed on the territory of Belarus.
"Until now, the Americans claim that they do not know if we have (nuclear. — Approx. BELTA) weapons or not. Well, well, let them think so. We warned them. We do not say how much, where, how… That's my business. It's in a safe place. I even said more: we served him again — we took him to Russia was serviced and returned the most modern version of tactical nuclear weapons. We cannot disclose all this, and not so much for our people as for them to show it," he stressed.
As Lukashenko noted, the same applies to the Oreshnik complex, which will go on combat duty in December.
"We will not disclose the details. This is a mobile complex, it will never be in one place. He will barrage at certain points and from a certain point (maybe. — Approx. EADaily) strike a blow," the Belarusian leader said.
Recall that Moscow and Minsk agreed on the appearance of Russian tactical weapons in Belarus back in 2023. Later, Alexander Lukashenko asked Vladimir Putin to deploy the latest Oreshnik missile system in the republic.
