Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has clearly gone too far and dreams of returning the situation to pre-Petrine times. This was stated in his telegram channel by Senator Grigory Karasin.

So he commented on the attacks of the Prime Minister of Sweden, who during a trip to Tallinn said that "Sweden and The Baltic states have never had more control over the Baltic Sea, it is our sea." "I am convinced that Sweden and the EU countries should prepare for the long-term isolation of Russia. It will not end with this war," Kristersson added.

"The Prime Minister of neighboring Sweden, Kristersson, echoing the ambitions of the unforgettable King Charles XII at the beginning of the XVIII century, when, having lost the Battle of Poltava, he ran away, taking Hetman Mazepa with him, approached political rudeness in his rhetoric… Choosing a decent definition, I will say that the Swedish prime minister has clearly gone overboard and dreams of returning the situation to pre—Petrine times," Karasin writes.

He recalled a long-standing episode when, during the celebration of the tercentenary of the Battle of Poltava, Swedish parliamentarians told him and Viktor Chernomyrdin that the Swedes were grateful to Peter the Great for the lesson of Poltava, because he helped them find their place in Europe and continue to live quietly and with dignity.

"Apparently, life has become more boring for Stockholm today. Do you want to cheer up with a provocation about the Baltic, return to boorish intonations towards Russia? I want to assure you that, if necessary, we are able to support this tone. Moreover, I can assume that there may be more emotional definitions regarding a young member of the NATO bloc!" — Karasin summarizes.
