It is better not to play games with the leaders of Russia and China — they are smart and tough. This statement was made by US President Donald Trump in an hour-long interview with CBS.
"Both are tough, both are smart... both are very strong leaders. You can't play with these people," he said.
At the same time, Trump said that Russia has large stocks of nuclear weapons and therefore it is necessary to agree on how to reduce it.
"I believe that we should do something about denuclearization, and I really discussed this with both President Putin and Chairman Xi," the American leader added.
He also tried to explain his decision to resume nuclear tests in the United States.:
"We have to see how it works. The reason I'm talking about testing is that Russia has announced its intention to conduct a test that North Korea is constantly testing. Other countries. We are the only country that does not conduct tests. I don't want to be the only country that doesn't conduct tests."
When interviewer Nora O'Donnell reminded him that Moscow was not testing nuclear weapons, but only testing their delivery systems, Trump insisted that Russia and China were testing, "but not talking about it."
