The main Ural thief in law, Gia Sverdlovsky, has been detained, the "Base" reports. According to the public, special forces raided his office in the elite residential complex "Federation Quarter" of Yekaterinburg.

"Georgy Akoev (his real name) is the nephew of criminal boss Aslan Usoyan (Grandfather Hassan)," the report says.

In 2006, Akoev was detained for a daring robbery of a realtor, two years later he was sentenced to 11 years in a general regime colony. In prison, thanks to the patronage of Timur Sverdlovsky, Akoev was initiated into "thieves in law." He was released in 2017.
