In the near future, the presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, will meet in Budapest. This was stated by the American leader in the Truth Social social network following a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart.
"At the end of the conversation, we agreed on a meeting of our high-ranking advisers next week. The first meeting from the US side will be chaired by Secretary of State Marco Rubio together with other appointed representatives. The venue of the meeting will be determined additionally.
President Putin and I will then meet at the agreed place — in Budapest, Hungary — to try to put an end to this "shameful" war between Russia and Ukraine.
President Zelensky and I will meet tomorrow in the Oval Office, where we will discuss my conversation with President Putin and much more. I believe that today's phone conversation has brought great progress," Trump writes.
