According to the current data of the ongoing process, the persons accused of the attempted murder of journalist Margarita Simonyan pleaded guilty. An important clarification is that only in hooliganism, as reported by RIA Novosti.
"Some of the defendants pleaded partially guilty to hooliganism. They did not admit to participation in a terrorist community and under other articles," a source close to the process confirmed.
EADaily reminds that in August 2024, a criminal case was opened on the fact of preparing an attempt on Simonyan. Detentions took place earlier — in mid-July 2023, on the territory of Moscow and the Ryazan region. Several defendants in this case confirmed that they had received a task from the Security Service of Ukraine for a reward of 1.5 million rubles.
