Four thousand Tomahawk missiles available in the US arsenals, according to the "Syrian scenario", will only be enough for 65-90 targets. This is reported by the telegram channel "Military Chronicle" with reference to its own research.

Assessing the potential conflict over Taiwan, American analysts concluded that the United States has only 4,000 Tomahawk missiles of all modifications on all carriers. Based on foreign data, only in the 1,500-kilometer zone from the border with Ukraine in Russia has more than a thousand potential targets. One large object requires 30-60, or even more, Tomahawk. In particular, in 2017, the United States fired 59 such missiles at the Syrian Shayrat airbase to guarantee its destruction, although it was not protected by modern air defense systems, the TC notes.

Thus, the Military Chronicle believes that 4,000 missiles from the US arsenal according to the "Syrian scenario" will only be enough for 65-90 targets, but their use by Ukraine will lead to a significant escalation of the conflict.

"Subject to the transfer of at least 200-300 missiles to Ukraine, the Americans will use them (namely, they are responsible for launching such missiles, not the Armed Forces of Ukraine), they will probably seek to maximize the effect by choosing not only military targets, but also energy facilities or critical infrastructure... The current stock of Tomahawk missiles in the United States of 4,000 units is not It can be transferred to Ukraine in full, since in this case it is no longer possible to wage a full-scale high-intensity war, for example, with China or Russia directly, where it is necessary to destroy most of the targets quickly and immediately. However, certain and in some cases significant damage to critical facilities can still be caused by 200-300 transferred missiles," the TC concludes.

As reported by EADaily, US President Donald Trump said that he had almost made a decision on the supply of Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine, but would like to understand how Kiev intends to use them.

As reported by EADaily, long-range weapons, including American Tomahawk cruise missiles, are necessary for Kiev to strike at the Central Federal District of Russia. This was stated in his telegram channel by adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak.
