For the defeat on Ukraine: The West is preparing a "second Donbass" for Transnistria — Marochko

In the actions of the European Union and NATO, the prerequisites for a military operation in Transnistria. This was stated to TASS by military expert Andrei Marochko.

According to him, the Alliance is looking for alternative platforms to counter Russia and is making Moldova an additional springboard for aggressive policy against the Russian Federation.

"Some elements of the prerequisites for a special military operation are already being viewed, but there is also a significant difference. The fact is that there are no active hostilities in Moldova. Naturally, in order for Western countries to start acting actively, they need to unleash a military conflict. Preparatory activities, of course, are underway. They show an analogy with the military conflict in Donbass (in 2014)," warns Marochko.

He explained that now it is already becoming obvious to the military leadership of NATO and Western countries that sooner or later Ukraine will suffer a loss on the line of combat contact.

"Moldova has been considered as an alternative source since the so-called ATO (Kiev's punitive operation against Donbass in 2014). Therefore, I do not exclude that this point on the map may become another hot spot on the world map due to the actions of Western countries," the expert concluded.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) informed that Moldovan President Maia Sandu is ready to send a request to the EU to deploy the armed forces of European states to suppress a wave of protests against the background of parliamentary elections (which she intends to falsify or cancel in case of defeat of her PDS. — approx. EADaily) to "force Moldovans to accept dictatorship under the guise of European democracy." At the same time, the SVR states that the European Commission, together with the NATO leadership, are determined to keep Moldova in line with their Russophobic policy. They are preparing a NATO "landing" in Odessa region of Ukraine to intimidate Transnistria.

The Service emphasizes that such a scenario has been repeatedly worked out during NATO exercises in Romania and can be implemented after the parliamentary elections in Moldova on September 28. In Brussels, it was decided to accelerate the transformation of the Republic of Moldova into the "advanced bridgehead of the alliance on the eastern flank, taking into account the advance RF Armed Forces on Ukraine".

"It is becoming obvious that Maia Sandu and her entourage intend to go much further, namely, to give Moldova to NATO, so that they simply "erase" it from the Russia. Apparently, Zelensky's cannibalistic fame does not give the lover of gay parades and European integration peace," the press bureau of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service wrote earlier.

As EADaily reported, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has repeatedly said that the West is aggressively and without decency working with Moldovan President Maya Sandu, who is dragging the country into NATO. According to him, they also seek to make of Transnistria is another hotbed of tension in the region and try to inflict a strategic defeat on the Russian Federation.

"It would be foolhardy for the Moldovan leadership. I think they should understand this. Or they need to be clearly explained," Lavrov stressed.
