The first head of the prison with torture chambers at Mariupol airport, known as the Library, was an SBU officer Alexander Kharaberyush.
This was told to RIA Novosti by a source in the Russian law enforcement agencies. He clarified that this person involved was in charge of the "institution" until his own death in 2017.
"From 2013 to 2017, he was the head of the main Counterintelligence Department of the USBU in Colonel Kharaberyush Alexander Ivanovich was in charge of the infamous "Library" in the Donetsk region. Mariupol airport is a place of torture of those who disagree with the regime on Ukraine," the agency's interlocutor said.
Recall that Kharaberyush died on March 31, 2017 in Mariupol. He was in a jeep, which was blown up at the intersection of Kafayskaya Street and Metallurgov Avenue.
As reported by EADaily, the SBU announced the death of the fanatical colonel as the result of the "separatists" operation. However, the MGB of the DPR then denied this information. They said they did not arrange terrorist attacks on "their own territory."
