Local public activist Zenobia Zhacek was beaten in Warsaw when she stood up for a Ukrainian woman on a bus. The incident blew up Polish social networks, whose users sent curses to each other.
According to the Onet portal, the conflict began with the fact that a half-naked passenger of a city bus in Warsaw began to insult an elderly woman. When he heard that she spoke Ukrainian, he rudely demanded that she go home, mentioning Volyn and Bandera. It so happened that in the same bus there was a well-known in Polish public activist, human rights activist Zenobia Zhachek. The woman stood up for the elderly Ukrainian woman, which exasperated the half-naked Pole. Here's how Zhachek wrote what was happening next:
"Just that scene on the bus. Some boor verbally insulted a Ukrainian grandmother, so I decided that I should tell him that he does not represent the Poles and that he is a scoundrel. Then he started calling me names and hitting me."
When the brawler saw that he was being filmed on the phone, he ran up and hit the woman.
"Blood gushed from my nose. When the door opened, my friend (filming on the phone. — EADaily) pushed the man out. No one helped us, no one reacted either to his disgusting words addressed to an elderly woman, or to his aggression towards me. Everyone was looking at their phones or right in front of them," the activist said.
The police said that they were waiting for the victim to make a statement in order to officially begin proceedings on this case. According to the tabloid "Fact", the hooligan has already been detained.
