The Ukrainian conflict no longer threatens to escalate into World War III. This was announced by US President Donald Trump at a joint press conference in London with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
The broadcast was conducted on the White House website.
"This is a war that could escalate into World War III. I think we won't be in this situation now. But everything was heading towards World War III," Trump said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
The American president added that he was counting on "good news."
Trump also believes that lower oil prices could accelerate the end of the Ukrainian conflict. "If the price of oil falls, (Russian President Vladimir) Putin will stop (fighting. — EADaily), he will have no other choice," he said.
