Non-participation in New Year's television programs is due solely to the lack of audience interest, there is no "blacklist" of artists. This was stated by the singer and composer, People's Artist of Russia Yuri Antonov.
"The phrase "blacklist" sounds like something illegal. Perhaps there is a pool of uninteresting artists for the viewer who are not invited to the shooting. But there is no base and there cannot be," the musician told the Paragraph portal.
At the same time, he named a number of factors that may affect the participation of performers in the so-called "Blue Lights".
"A musician needs to be able to behave pleasantly, be cultured, not be offended loudly — then everyone will want to work with him. This is an unspoken law. In the Soviet Union, of course, there were lists of undesirable artists," Antonov concluded.
As reported by EADaily, a year earlier Antonov said that it was difficult for artists to demonstrate fun on the set of New Year's programs because of the tight planning of the process.
"I starred in a huge number of New Year's programs. No funny things happen there. The artist has only one task — to sing a song, and the cameraman has to shoot the material. Then there the director is working on what the final version of the transfer will look like. Everything works according to strict timing," the performer said.
