The Head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported how much one day of fighting costs the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Ukraine cannot afford it, he said.
One day of full-scale fighting costs Ukraine $ 172 million, that is, approximately 7.1 billion hryvnia. This was announced during the YES 2025 conference by the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andrei Gnatov, according to TSN.
He noted that Ukraine would not be able to withstand such a financial burden solely on its own. Therefore, it is important to attract funds from Western partners for the development of the domestic defense industry and innovative technologies, he added.
"We should not forget that the introduction of innovations is an insane financial resource… Waging war against such a large and powerful country in terms of resources is very expensive," said the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
