The FBI has published photos of the alleged killer of a supporter of US President Donald Trump, conservative activist Charlie Kirk in Utah. It is reported by The New York Post with reference to law enforcement agencies.
"We are asking for the public's help in identifying this person of interest in connection with the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk in Utah Valley University," the bureau said in a statement on the social network X.
The pictures from the video cameras show a lanky man in dark. He is wearing sunglasses, a cap "of dark color and a long-sleeved shirt on which, apparently, the American flag is depicted."
Two suspects, who, as it turned out, were not involved in the shooting, were arrested the day before. One was charged with obstruction of justice, and the other was questioned by federal agents and released, the newspaper adds.
In addition, a rifle was found, from which, according to the investigation, the killer fired.
"The weapon — an imported 30-06 caliber Mauser rifle with a longitudinal sliding bolt - was discovered by investigators wrapped in a towel in a wooded area after the murder of a Conservative leader who was shot dead during a speech at an event in Utah Valley University on Wednesday," writes the NYT.
According to a law enforcement source, the rifle found during the search for the killer contained cartridges with engraved "transgender and anti-fascist symbols."
As EADaily reported, US President Donald Trump, commenting on the murder of conservative politician and activist Charlie Kirk, promised to find everyone and everyone involved in this crime.
"My administration will find anyone and everyone who participated in this atrocity and other acts of political violence, including the organizations that finance and support it," Trump said.
