After the Russian military from the Vostok group liberated the settlement of Kamyshevakha, the entire southern part of the DPR was under control RF Armed Forces.
This is reported by the DAN agency, referring to the statement of the head of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin.
"The last settlement remained, that's all now. On the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic, all our cities, all our districts have been liberated, as for the south of the region. This is really significant, therefore, special words of gratitude to all the fighters, all the servicemen of the Vostok group of forces," the governor said.
He also recalled that over the previous week, in addition to Kamyshevakha, Russian troops knocked the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of the villages of May Day and Nelepovka.
Now, according to Pushilin, the fighters are improving their positions already on the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk region in order to create the necessary conditions for the security of settlements in the region.
As EADaily reported, the village of Kamyshevakha was taken under control by the Vostok group on August 30. Prior to that, it remained the only settlement in the west of the DPR near the border with the Zaporozhye region, which was under the control of Ukraine.
