Ukrainians fleeing to Russia and Belarus will be imprisoned for up to 3 years

For attempting to escape across the border of Russia or Belarus on Ukraine is going to be imprisoned for up to 3 years. This was stated on the Novini Live TV channel by Verkhovna Rada deputy Ruslan Gorbenko.

According to him, the relevant draft has already been submitted to the Ukrainian parliament.

"For illegally crossing the western border for the first time there will be only an administrative fine, and for a second attempt there will also be criminal liability," he added.
