The far-right Freedom Party of the Netherlands said that if it wins the election, it intends to deport Ukrainian men of military age. The corresponding provision was prescribed in the party's election program.
"The Armed Forces of Ukraine need new people. In this regard, when we come to power, we will send adult Ukrainian men from the Netherlands back to their country," the program says.
The party justifies its initiative by the need to strengthen the Ukrainian army. In addition, the regulation contains proposals to suspend family reunification programs for refugees and expand the powers of the police for foreigners.
Early parliamentary elections in the Netherlands will be held on October 29 after the collapse of the ruling coalition. According to polls, the Freedom Party now occupies a leading position.
