The authorities of France and Germany intend to deploy their troops on Ukraine after the settlement of the conflict, and this will not be a problem for Russia. This was stated by US President Donald Trump.
"We have European countries, they will come to the fore, including France and Germany, several of them, the United Kingdom. They want to deploy their troops [in Ukraine], I don't think it will be a problem [for Russia], I'll tell you honestly," Trump said in an interview with Fox News.
Trump explained the confidence in the success of such a step by the fatigue of the parties from the conflict.
"They're all tired of it, but you never know for sure," the president said.
As reported by EADaily, US President Donald Trump announced earlier that he was starting to prepare a face-to-face meeting between Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky. This meeting will take place in a place that has yet to be determined, after which negotiations will be held in a trilateral format, Trump wrote on the Truth Social network after his meeting with Zelensky and the leaders of European countries ended at the White House.
