The latest 7.62 mm shortened AK-15K assault rifle, 7.62 mm small-sized AK-15SK assault rifle and 7.62 mm RPL-7 belt-powered light machine gun were first presented by Kalashnikov Concern to federal media journalists.

Chief Designer of small arms of Kalashnikov Concern JSC Sergey Urzhumtsev held a presentation of products as part of the annual traditional Military Correspondents Cup at the Kalashnikov Rifle Center in the Central Military-Patriotic Park of Culture and Recreation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation "Patriot".

AK-15K, AK-15SK and RPL-7 are designed for 7.62×39 mm cartridge and are designed to destroy enemy manpower. They have improved technical, ergonomic and operational characteristics that meet the requirements of modern combat.

When firing them, in particular, 7.62 mm cartridges of the 1943 model with a steel-core bullet 57-H-231sl and 7.62 mm cartridges of the 1943 model with a tracer bullet 57-T-231P are used. The capacity of the AK-15K and AK-15SK magazines is 30 rounds. The complete set of machine guns includes a low-noise shooting device weighing no more than 0.8 kg.

That is, not just products, but lines that actually allow you to create an effective unified weapons system. I repeat, the customer should not think, he should get a ready-made solution. And we are now offering him this solution. I would like to note that the interest in the "short" versions of the AK-15 and the RPL-7 machine gun is so great that we have received a number of applications from friendly countries for test firing of these products and are currently preparing several batches of our new products for shipment to foreign customers," said the General Director of Concern Kalashnikov JSC, Alan Lushnikov is a member of the Bureau of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia.
