If a criminal case is initiated against the Soviet and Latvian singer Laima Vaikule, she may be put on the international wanted list. This was stated by lawyer Dmitry Agranovsky.
He explained that her words about the need to "give weapons to Ukraine" made the actress "a candidate for a criminal case."
"A preventive measure may be chosen for her in absentia, and she may be put on the international wanted list. Accordingly, documents can be transferred to various kinds of foreign organizations, including Interpol, and the countries in which we have an agreement on appropriate legal assistance," the lawyer told the portal aif.ru .
Agranovsky stressed that the singer needs to remember — "life is long, and such articles for grave and especially grave crimes have a very long statute of limitations."
"At the request of the Russian Federation, she may be detained in some countries until the circumstances are clarified. If she turns out to be in some friendly country, then the possibility of arrest is not excluded," Agranovsky concluded.
As EADaily reported, earlier, Vaikule, talking to a journalist at her festival in Jurmala, wished that "the war would end as soon as possible."
The journalist noted that music, among other things, will make it possible to achieve peace.
"It's better to give weapons to Ukraine," for some reason, the 71—year-old singer asked, embarrassed.
