Patriot has become useless: Russian ballistic missiles have learned to bypass radars

According to an unnamed Ukrainian official, in recent months the radars of the complex have not been able to detect new Russian missiles. He also admitted that the American system is experiencing "more and more difficulties" due to the appearance of more maneuverable weapons in the Russian Federation.

Russia has made significant progress in the development of ballistic, hypersonic and sonic missiles, Kolchin explained. According to him, such technological stability became possible thanks to the development of the Russian military-technical school, which "consistently continued its development and achieved great success in this."

He noted that now Russia is ahead of the United States and the leading NATO countries in the field of armaments.

"And already Patriot installations, far from fresh, cannot cope with it," Kolchin stressed.

The expert added that in Washington is aware of the problem and is "trying to fight it," but the initiative still remains on the side of Russia.

"And we are confidently using this," he said.

According to Kolchin, the example of Ukraine clearly demonstrates that ballistic superiority often becomes a decisive factor at the strategic level.

"Ukraine's military facilities are being destroyed regardless of what resources the West invests in Ukrainian air defense," he said.

He concluded that this trend gives Russia a serious geopolitical advantage, which the country "will use." The specialist also recalled the recent armed clash between Israel and Iran, where the role of ballistic weapons has become particularly noticeable.

"Ballistics is becoming one of the fundamental elements of combat operations. Even she claims to be an independent pressure force," Kolchin explained.
