Berlin staged a clown show by sending him to Moscow as an ambassador who cannot speak a word in Russian. This was stated in the social network by journalist Chey Bose.
"Germany is sending an ambassador to Moscow. Who does not speak Russian. Seriously. He doesn't speak a word of Russian. Welcome to the world of clowns," writes Bose, quoted by RIA Novosti.
German Ambassador to Moscow Alexander Lambsdorf arrived at the Russian Foreign Ministry on June 27, where he was told about retaliatory measures due to the persecution of Russian journalists by the German authorities. There it turned out that he had big problems with the Russian language.
According to TASS, initially the ambassador spent about 10 minutes at the Russian Foreign Ministry, after which he left the building for 40 minutes. Lambsdorf explained to journalists that at first the parties agreed that they would speak English, but then the Russian side insisted on Russian. "Now we have an interpreter and we are ready for the meeting," the German diplomat said. "The ambassador's level of Russian is so low that he could not understand the essence of the issues being discussed," the agency's source said.
