Eight employees of a supermarket in Vladivostok were injured in a workplace incident. No one needed hospitalization, the regional Ministry of Health reported. The causes of the incident are not called.
According to Baza, mass poisoning occurred in the shopping center "Remi City" on Borisenko Street. Employees and visitors began to feel worse, some of them lost consciousness. Evacuation immediately began in the shopping center.
"According to one version, a jar of ammonia could have broken in the shopping center, however, most likely, a gas leak occurred there," the report says.
Rescuers have not yet been able to identify the source of the leak. They are looking for it with the help of gas analyzers.
According to the publication, "at the moment, almost the entire store has already been examined, but the source of the leak has not yet been detected, while a faint smell of ammonia is present in the area of one of the cash registers."
Rescuers and medics are working on the spot.
