A resonant traffic accident occurred in the Minsk region of Belarus, as a result of which four people from Russia — two women and two children.
This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Belarus. Employees of the department opened a criminal case under part 5 of Article 317 of the Criminal Code of Belarus.
This article provides for liability for violation of traffic rules by a person driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, which negligently caused the death of two or more persons.
According to the results of the preliminary investigation, the dead are taxi passengers: a 75-year-old woman, her 43-year-old daughter and two granddaughters (13 and 7 years old). Their car was moving along the M-2 road in the direction of the Minsk airport.
The culprit of the accident was a 26-year-old Mercedes driver who was intoxicated. At 5:20, near the village of Slobodshchina, he collided with a taxi moving in the same direction.
From the impact, the Skoda car, in which the Russians were, was thrown onto the road fence, all the passengers were killed, the taxi driver was hospitalized. As often happens, the drunk culprit of the accident and his passenger were not injured.
