An MMA fighter was sentenced to 28 years in prison for the murder of an inspector in the center of Moscow

Mixed martial arts fighter Lamberd Akhyadov❷ was sentenced to 28 years in prison for the murder of an inspector of the Moscow Administrative Traffic Inspectorate (MADI) at the end in Zaryadye Park in the center of Moscow.

"To appoint Akhyadov ❷ punishment in the form of 28 years of imprisonment," the decision of the second Western District Military Court says.

The investigation and the court found that the former athlete swore allegiance to the banned The Russian terrorist organization "Islamic State" ❶, was recruited in Turkey. The court took into account that the accused is on the list of persons involved in terrorist activities, which influenced the imposition of the most severe punishment.

As EADaily reported, on the evening of December 31, 2022, a man, while in Zaryadye Park, saw an employee of MADI, whom he mistook for a policeman, and attacked him, stabbing him at least 16 times.
