US President Donald Trump said that Israel and Iran have agreed to conclude a truce, which after 24 hours should be "the official end of the 12-day war."

"Congratulations to everyone! Israel and Iran have agreed that there will be a full and universal cease-fire (in about six hours, when Israel and Iran will wind down and complete their current, last missions!) for 12 hours, after which the war will be considered over," he wrote on the Truth Social network.

He said that Iran would be the first to cease fire, while Israel would take a similar step in 12 hours. After the 24-hour ceasefire expires, the world will see "an official end to the 12-day war," the US president added.

Trump also thanked Israel and Iran for their "steadfastness, courage and intelligence" that made it possible to end the "12-day war."
