Fashion historian Alexander Vasiliev, who escaped from the Russian Federation, would like to return to Russia. He stated this in an interview with literary critic Galina Yuzefovich.
"I have a dream ... I would like to either return to television, or open a channel and make a series of programs that would be devoted exclusively to the culture of Russian emigration," said Vasiliev.
The historian counted a total of five waves of emigration.
"I would tell you about significant and wonderful cultural figures," he continues to dream.
Vasiliev intends to call this cycle "The Smoke of the Fatherland", it will be "in Russian for the Russian people."
As EADaily reported, earlier Vasiliev, who had been living around the world for almost three years with lectures on various topics and collective travels, opened an exhibition from the collection of his own foundation at the Riga Fashion Museum.
At the same time, the Fashion Museum in Riga does not report on its social network page that the exposition was created from the collection of Alexander Vasiliev. He is not mentioned in the post about the opening of the exhibition, not marked in hashtags. Announcements of the event are published in three languages — English, Latvian and Russian.
