The Iranian campaign is not over yet, it will be protracted. This was stated to Israeli soldiers today by the head of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, The Financial Times newspaper reports.
"We have launched the most difficult campaign in our history to eliminate a threat of this magnitude, to confront such an enemy, and we must be prepared for a long campaign," Zamir said.
There is a long and difficult operation ahead, despite the successful strikes on the missile infrastructure and the liquidation of the military leadership, the head of the General Staff noted.
"The campaign is not over yet, hard days await us," Zamir stressed, quoted by the Strana newspaper.
Tehran has embraced Israel with a "ring of fire" through a network of proxy groups and missiles, and also continues its nuclear program, so Israel must "act preemptively to eliminate the existential threat," the military commander explained.
Israel is confident that Iran is developing a plan to destroy the country, and considers what is happening to be a critical moment for its security, the publication says.
