In Warsaw, the criminal authority Viet Ha, better known as Pasha Vietnamese, was arrested. According to the prosecutor's office, the criminal for many years headed an organized criminal group engaged in the mass issuance of fake VAT invoices in the amount of 61 million zlotys (1.3 billion rubles).
Pasha Vietnamese is 51 years old, he is suspected of leading an organized criminal group, which in 2018-2022 issued more than 4,000 fictitious VAT invoices totaling more than 61 million zlotys. The detainee was hiding from law enforcement agencies without using any documents and registered means of communication. At the time of detention, he tried to hide in a closet in his son's room.
Prosecutor Mateusz Martyniuk clarified that the organized criminal group headed by Pasha Vietnamese handed over 4,063 fake invoices to various companies that used them for tax calculations, reducing VAT by almost 9 million zlotys. The investigation revealed that the group operated mainly in Warsaw, Yankee and Vulka Kosovska. The gang included citizens of Poland, Ukraine, Vietnam and India. The group imported goods from Asia using fictitious companies. The goods were then sold in shopping malls, and the profits were transferred to China, Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates.
"Each member of the criminal group had a "basket" of companies that created multi-level chains that changed over time, and were used to mass produce empty invoices and conceal the real turnover of money," the prosecutor added.
At the same time, Pasha Vietnamese was in charge of operations, hiding his identity even from partners.
"None of the people who worked with him knew his name and place of residence," says one of the investigators.
