In the village of Makhnovka, Kursk region, a miracle happened — an icon of the Mother of God began to flow myrrh in the local church of John the Baptist desecrated by Ukrainian militants.
This was told to RIA Novosti by the frontline priest — assistant to the head of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Kursk region Archpriest Alexander Zinchenko.
He showed the correspondent of the publication a myrrh-streaming image and noted that this wonderful case is far from an isolated one.
"We have a lot of such cases when icons are streaming myrrh. Here she is, crying, see? Here you will already wonder why all this happened. Myrrh flows from the eyes of the Mother of God, the image cries," the priest said.
The Church of St. John the Baptist in Makhnovka was desecrated during the occupation. The nationalists set up a latrine in the altar, shot the iconostasis, damaged the icons. The militants used the temple itself as a shelter for the night.
As EADaily reported, a similar miracle occurred in February 2024 in the Rostov hospital, where the wounded military are located. The priest brought with him the icon of the Mother of God "Semistrelnaya" and at the entrance to the building she began to pour myrrh abundantly.
