The point of view presented in the report of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Ukraine in the field of protection of civilians in armed conflict is unreliable.

This was stated on the eve of the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Vasily Nebenzia during a meeting of the Security Council. He called for an internal investigation in the world organization.

"The report of the Secretary General prepared for our meeting on Ukraine mentions the civilian population of Russia affected by the conflict only once, in the context of displaced persons. At the same time, it is not explained that we are talking about the use of hundreds of civilians abducted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region as hostages," the TASS news agency quotes the diplomat.

He pointed to the fact that "the report mentions the alleged 300 attacks on energy infrastructure facilities in Ukraine." At the same time, it is not specified that we are talking about infrastructure facilities that serve military facilities.

"The report even descends to the unacceptable replication of Western fakes about the separation of children from their parents and forced removal without any specifics or supporting information," Nebenzia said.

He separately mentioned the problem of the security of media representatives and noted that the Kiev regime staged a real hunt for Russian journalists. And the UN report does not condemn this criminal practice in any way.

"Only since the beginning of this year, as a result of targeted attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including the use of high—precision missile weapons, five Russian media workers have been killed, numerous employees have been injured in various degrees of severity," the Russian permanent representative stated.

Nebenzia called on the UN to stop the one-sided presentation of information and demanded objectivity. In his opinion, in this case, the UN Secretariat itself should first be investigated and the authors punished for trying to mislead the Security Council.

As reported by EADaily, earlier Vasily Nebenzya stated that during The Second World War was won not only by Russia, it is a common Victory of all the peoples of the former USSR.
