Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the Hero of Russia Star to Corporal Lyudmila Bolilaya, a nurse of the motorized rifle unit. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The nurse was ill at the command post when the rocket and artillery strike began. Seeing the wounded, the girl, despite the threat to her life, rushed to save the fighters.

"Lyudmila managed to pull several servicemen out from under fire when a new strike began. The nurse covered the body of the seriously injured man, taking over all the fragments. After that, she was taken to the hospital, " the department said.
