Foreign Minister Andrei Sibiga asked Brazil to persuade Russian President Vladimir Putin to come to Istanbul for talks with the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky. He stated this on the social network X after a conversation with his Brazilian counterpart Mauro Vieira.
"I called on Brazil to support an unconditional 30-day ceasefire as a basis for effective peace talks. He confirmed Zelensky's readiness to meet with Putin in Turkey and called on Brazil to use its authoritative voice in dialogue with Russia so that this direct meeting at the highest level would take place," the ministry said in a statement quoted by Strana.
As reported by EADaily, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, is "ready for anything" to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Turkey. He stated this at a briefing.
According to Zelensky, he agreed with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to meet in Ankara, however, if Putin refuses to go to the Turkish capital and chooses Istanbul, Zelensky and Erdogan are ready to arrive there.
