The authorities of the Kiev regime, by their actions, actually provoked a break in relations between Ukraine and the United States, writes the American edition of National Interest (NI).
It is noted that Zelensky and his team, after the change of administration in the White House, did not begin to build a new policy towards the overseas host and could not find the right approach.
As a result, the Ukrainian side tried to use the same approach to Donald Trump and Joe Biden, which led to failure.
"After the scandals in the White House in February, it became obvious that Vladimir Zelensky and his team should have changed their strategy and tactics. Demands and appeals will not work on a business leader like Trump," the article says.
It is also pointed out that the current head of the White House did not forgive Zelensky for the impeachment scandal during his first term. In addition, it is alleged that Ukraine continued its attempts to get involved in any political dispute or discussion in the United States, which also greatly influenced the perception of Kiev among US citizens.
As EADaily reported, earlier US President Donald Trump called a possible meeting of representatives of the Russian Federation and Ukraine in Istanbul on May 15, noting that he believes in the achievability of positive results on its outcome.
