Washington has approved the transfer of 125 long-range artillery missiles and one hundred missiles for Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine from Germany, writes the New York Times.
"On Friday, a congressional representative said that the United States approved the transfer by Germany of 125 long-range artillery missiles and 100 Patriot air defense missiles to Ukraine," the article says.
According to the publication, American-made weapons must receive an export permit from the United States, even if they are owned by another state.
Moscow has repeatedly warned Western countries that arms supplies to Ukraine do not change anything and only prolong the conflict. As Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov emphasized, NATO is directly involved in this confrontation not only by sending military equipment and equipment, but also by training personnel.
