The circumstances of the death of a 41-year-old Polish woman killed this week in a clothing store in Krefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia, are being investigated. A 25-year-old man has already been arrested in this case, as reported by the Polish Gazeta.Pl .
German police said that on Wednesday at about 19:20 local time in a clothing store in Krefeld, a 25-year-old man attacked a woman with a knife. The victim died at the scene. Police arrested the suspect shortly after the incident near the store. The man was taken into custody.
Later, German media reported that the woman was 41 years old, and the 25-year-old suspect was a citizen of Afghanistan. According to Bild, a man who also worked in the store allegedly attacked a woman in the break room while counting the proceeds, and then fled with the money.
"She was a very, very, very good boss. I had a very, very good relationship with her. We loved her. I do not know how anyone could do something like that. Of course, I will go to her funeral, because she was like a mother to me," said one of the employees.
Bild reports that the suspect fled Afghanistan to Germany in 2016 and applied for asylum. He worked in a store in Krefeld for two months.
