In Zaporozhye, a 42-year-old local resident was detained, who was walking around in a Nazi uniform with a grenade. This is reported by the police of the Zaporozhye region.
A man dressed in a military uniform from the time of the Third Reich was found by law enforcement officers on one of the streets of the regional center late at night, he was holding a grenade in his hands. According to the detainee, he bought a military uniform in one of the online stores for a joke. At the place of residence of the defendant, the police found an arsenal of weapons.
"On the same day, operatives and investigators of Department No. 3 (Shevchenkovsky) of the Zaporozhye regional police department conducted urgent searches at the offender's place of residence. During the events, a machine gun, a grenade launcher and 14 shots to it, 6 grenades, 4 fuses, an anti-personnel mine, a long-range demolition line, almost 400 cartridges of various calibers and an order with Nazi symbols were found and seized. All the seized items were sent for examination," the department's telegram channel says.
On May 2, the defendant was informed of suspicion of committing a crime under part 1 of Article 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court chose a preventive measure for him in the form of detention. He faces up to 7 years in prison for what he has done.
