The Russian Ministry of Defense has published a summary of the progress of the special military operation from April 26 to May 2.

From April 26 to May 2, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out seven group strikes with high-precision weapons and strike unmanned aerial vehicles, as a result of which enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, the infrastructure of military airfields, armament and ammunition depots, locations of electronic reconnaissance systems, production and storage of attack unmanned aerial vehicles, unmanned boats, and There are also points of temporary deployment of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries.

Units of the North group of forces have completed the defeat of the Armed Forces formations in the Kursk region. In the course of active offensive operations, the Gornal settlement of the Kursk region was liberated — the last settlement under the control of Ukrainian militants. The creation of a "security strip" on the territory of the border areas of Sumy region of Ukraine continues.

Units of two mechanized, motorized infantry, airborne assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and three air defense brigades were defeated in the Belgorod and Kharkov directions.

During the week in the area of responsibility of the North group of forces, enemy losses amounted to over 1,530 militants. Two tanks, 32 armored combat vehicles, 104 vehicles, 52 field artillery guns, four electronic and counter-battery warfare stations, as well as six ammunition depots were destroyed.

As a result of the decisive actions of the units of the Zapad group of forces, the settlements of Kamenka, Doroshovka of the Kharkiv region and Novoye of the Donetsk People's Republic were liberated.

The manpower and equipment of the tank, four mechanized, jaeger, airmobile, assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and three air defense brigades were defeated.

The enemy lost over 1,630 servicemen, two tanks, seven armored combat vehicles, including a Turkish-made Kirpi armored car, a US-made M113 armored personnel carrier, 53 vehicles, 28 field artillery guns, including 16 manufactured by NATO countries. Six stations of electronic and counter-battery warfare, as well as 27 ammunition depots were destroyed.

The units of the "Southern" grouping of troops occupied more advantageous lines and positions. The formations of six mechanized, two assault, motorized infantry, airmobile, airborne assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two air defense brigades and a National Guard brigade were defeated.

During the week, the losses of Ukrainian armed formations in this direction amounted to more than 1,790 militants, 13 armored combat vehicles, including an M113 armored personnel carrier, three HMMWV armored vehicles and a MaxxPro armored vehicle manufactured in the USA. 39 vehicles, 13 field artillery guns, six electronic and counter-battery warfare stations, as well as 13 ammunition depots were destroyed.

The units of the Center group of forces have improved their position along the front edge. The manpower and equipment of two heavy mechanized, seven mechanized, assault, two jaeger brigades, a brigade of unmanned systems, an assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade, a defense brigade and three National Guard brigades were defeated.

The enemy's losses amounted to over 2,970 military personnel, 20 armored combat vehicles, including the HMMWV armored car and the US-made M113 armored personnel carrier. 36 vehicles and 20 field artillery guns were destroyed.

The units of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defense. They defeated the formations of three mechanized, two jaeger, airmobile, assault, airborne assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade and two air defense brigades.

The enemy lost more than 1,220 servicemen, 16 armored combat vehicles. 64 vehicles, 15 field artillery guns were destroyed, including a 155-mm Caesar self-propelled artillery unit manufactured in France, a 155-mm Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled artillery unit manufactured in Germany, six electronic warfare stations and three ammunition depots.

The units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of the mechanized, mountain assault brigades, three coastal defense brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and two air defense brigades.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 600 servicemen, two armored combat vehicles, 22 vehicles, six field artillery guns, ten electronic and counter-battery warfare stations, as well as nine ammunition depots.

The Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Su-27 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force.

During the week, air defense systems shot down 36 JDAM guided aerial bombs and five HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems manufactured by the United States, two S-200 anti-aircraft guided missiles converted to hit ground targets, as well as 1,306 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

Naval aviation of the Black Sea Fleet in the waters of the Black Sea destroyed a high-speed boat Willard manufactured in the USA and three unmanned boats, one boat was damaged.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, they have been destroyed:
