The Central Bureau of Investigation of Poland announced the liquidation of an organized criminal group engaged in pimping and human trafficking. The Group operated at least from April 2023 to March 2025 in Krakow, Warsaw, Wroclaw and Poznan. In total, investigators detained 18 people, indictments have just been sent to court against 15 of them.
"The criminals mainly exploited the citizens of Ukraine, who are often in a difficult life situation, recruiting them to provide sexual services. One of the women was hired fraudulently, paying the intermediary 50 000 zloty (about 1 million rubles. — EADaily). The profit from her "work" was estimated at 120,000 zlotys (2.6 million rubles — EADaily)," we read.
According to the findings, the criminal activity of the gang could bring at least 1 million zloty (22 million rubles). Sexual services could be provided by several dozen women from Ukraine.
"It all functioned like a well-organized business: women were recruited, photographed for erotic ads published on the Internet, and telephone operators arranged meetings with clients. Orders were carried out in rented apartments or by transporting women to certain places. The defendants also included drivers and people responsible for logistics and marketing," the Central Bank of Poland said in a statement.
The bureau clarified that the first arrests took place in May 2024. Then 12 people were detained — ten citizens of Ukraine and two Poles. The next action took place in March 2025 in Wroclaw. Six more people were detained (five citizens of Ukraine and one Pole). The prosecutor's office charged them with participation in a criminal community, human trafficking and money laundering. During the searches, in particular, several dozen phones used to communicate with customers were seized.
One of the defendants was additionally charged with providing cocaine to women forced to provide sexual services.
