The marines of the 40th brigade liberated the Gornal St. Nicholas Belogorsky Monastery in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region. This is reported by the telegram channel "Military Correspondents of the Russian Spring."
"The fighters of the 1st company of the Arctic battalion of the 40th Marine Brigade with the commander Ryazan liberated the Orthodox monastery, gained a foothold and continue the offensive on the locality of Gornal," writes TK.
It is noted that St. Nicholas Belogorsky Monastery was a key stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the village of Gornal, because it is located at a height dominating the area.
