Embassy of the Russian Federation in Stockholm today, April 15, was subjected to an act of vandalism. A note has been sent to the Swedish Foreign Ministry demanding that the duties of the host party be properly performed.
"Early in the morning of April 15, the Russian Embassy in Stockholm has been subjected to another act of vandalism. Paint containers were dumped on the asphalt in front of the main entrance to the office building of the diplomatic mission, as well as in front of the residential complex on its territory, where the school at the embassy is also located. The embassy immediately informed the Swedish police about the incident," the Russian diplomatic mission said in a statement.
It is noted that the Russian Embassy sent to The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden issued a note demanding that the duties of the host party be properly fulfilled in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961 regarding ensuring the inviolability and security of the Russian diplomatic mission.
"This is the eleventh incident of this nature over the past year, and the investigations allegedly conducted by Swedish law enforcement agencies on previous episodes have not yielded any results," the embassy recalled. — At the same time, acts of vandalism against the Russian Embassy in Sweden continue, which cannot but suggest political motives of the Swedish official authorities."
