Moscow would like to get an answer from Washington to the question of whether the Americans are striving to stop regular Ukrainian attacks on civilians in Russia.
The corresponding post was published on the social network X (formerly Twitter) by the Permanent Representative of Russia to international organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov:
"Don't you want to put an end to the regular Ukrainian attacks on Russian civilians?"
Thus, the Russian diplomat commented on the publication of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in which he, on behalf of Washington, expressed condolences to the victims of the missile attack on Sumy.
He called it a tragic reminder of why US President Donald Trump and his administration are spending so much time and effort "trying to end this war and achieve lasting peace."
Earlier, EADaily reported that an undisclosed "intensive political process" is underway between Russia and the United States to find a peaceful settlement of the conflict on Ukraine, which is actively trying to prevent the European Union together with the UK. This was stated by the Russian Ambassador to United Kingdom Andrey Kelin.
