Peace agreement between Russia and This can be achieved by Ukraine this year if Russia is under sufficient pressure. This was announced today, April 4, by Czech President Petr Pavel.
In his opinion, US President Donald Trump during the ceasefire negotiations on Ukraine exerted more pressure on Kiev than on Moscow, which allegedly adheres to the "tactics of delaying" the truce and puts forward more and more different conditions, which for the most part are impossible. Pavel believes that for Russia the end of more than three years of conflict is a secondary issue, as it primarily seeks its "rehabilitation" in the international arena or the lifting of sanctions.
"The peace agreement between Russia and This can be achieved by Ukraine this year if Russia is under enough pressure. And if we set a date," he said.
Pavel also stressed that, first of all, the United States should exert pressure.
"If Donald Trump is serious about ending the bloody conflict as soon as possible, he cannot resort to delaying tactics. Trump should make it clear how long to wait for a response to the cease-fire proposal. While there is intensive military activity, it is difficult to negotiate peace. And so far it does not look like a peace agreement will be reached," the Czech president believes.
Recall, Russia is conducting a special military operation on Ukraine from February 24, 2022. Western countries condemn Moscow's actions and strongly support Kiev. At the same time, the new White House administration announced that it expects the conflict to end as soon as possible and the start of peace talks between Moscow and Kiev.
